Western Australia provides visitors with stunning displays of wildflowers. Wildflowers can be found in full bloom, after winter rains offering a kaleidoscope of colours across the natural landscape. Several daisies bloom in unison especially in early spring and late winter. In the period between August and October, the display of wildflowers in the areas between Overlander Roadhouse and Hamelin Station should not be missed. It includes the bright yellow colour of Pompom heads which bloom in this area.
Shark Bay daisies can be found blooming on small bushes in the coastal areas. The Tamala rose adds freshness in the display, through the colour pink. Acacias spread throughout the scrubland are yellow in colour, while the Eremophilas offers red and mauve shades to the landscape. The fringed Lily is prevalent in south west Western Australia and is unique, as it is a leafless herb.
